Guiding you back to your body, your intuition, and the earth beneath your feet
FOR WOMEN WHO'VE LEFT RELIGION
Tell me if this sounds like you:
Leaving my childhood religion felt excruciatingly lonely. I walked away from an entire existence, a community who'd raised me, and a belief system that I'd integrated every part of myself into. I was caught between relieving freedom, grief for what I'd lost, and crippling anxiety for the unknown ahead. I still wanted community, and some sense of comfort while I figured out my own spiritual path.
So I did what everyone who leaves mormonism does:
joined some ex-mormon Facebook groups.

I wanted to feel held as I discovered who I was outside of the church, and as I explored spirituality that felt slow and safe + rooted in Nature, and began to rewrite everything I'd been taught about my purpose as a woman.
I struggled to find a space like that...
so I created it.
I felt really validated in those Facebook groups, but I wanted something deeper.

In a space that evolves
alongside you.
THE LIBRARY

Twice a month, where we come together live, on Zoom (usually while our babies nap), to sit together + hold space for everything we're navigating. We'll have deeper discussions + collectively share + support each other. Nothing required, show up in comfy clothes or watch the recording later.
MONTHLY GATHERINGS
A growing collection of self-reflective guides, audio journals (sharing my own evolution alongside yours), and supportive responses to situations we all face post-religion. There for you, whenever you need extra encouragement, gentle guidance, or a perspective shift.
COMMUNITY FEED
An ongoing space where you can express the feelings that keep you up at night, ask questions or share things you're experiencing, and give/receive support from other women in the community. Here you can also DM me + each other to form friendships + real community - I'll respond, with depth, care, + nuance (usually through voice messages) as often as my energy allows ♥
My Story
I grew up in the LDS church, and never in a million years imagined I'd leave it. I served a mission in Argentina, and early on intuitively felt that I was needed more at home than on my mission-my president told me my intuition was "of the devil." Long story short, I stayed. My mission, and not knowing I could question my leader, became the catalyst for me leaving a few years later. Leaving was terrifying, lonely, and filled with what seemed like never-ending self doubt.
In the 8 years I've spent out of the church, however, I've been on the most beautiful, hard, transformative journey of finding myself, a spirituality that's rooted in nature + feels so safe, and am continually writing my own definition of what it means to be a woman, beyond anything I was ever taught.
That journey inspired me to create this space. I wanted to encourage + support other women along the same path - because I deeply believe you deserve to experience yourself, your life, and your own version of spirituality deeply, because that leads to what that the world around you needs the most: a heart-wide-open YOU.
Might just be the most important thing you do post-religion.

Soft and Sacred is our collective journey of ups + downs, heartaches + deepening self love outside of religion. It's where I'm openly sharing every part of my own unfolding-so you can feel seen, supported + encouraged through any part of yours, alongside women who get where you're at.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do we know if we'll be a good fit?
I'm best able to serve people who care more about how their photos feel, rather than wanting to be perfectly posed or having lots of "smile at the camera" images. Sessions with me are slow-paced, comfortable, and natural-feeling. Your only job is to show up + love on your people-I'll handle the rest ♥
How do flexible payments work?
I never want pricing to be a reason not to work together-so I'm happy to offer a payment schedule that works for you! We can split your payment up as much as needed, as long as your final balance is paid by your actual session date. When we get to the contract stage (after reaching out + deciding this is a hell yes!!!), just let me know you'd like to utilize the flexible payments and we'll set it up.
Where do you photograph?
Most of my sessions happen in or around the Treasure Valley in Idaho. I have a growing list of favorite spots that I share with my clients (and am always down to hear your favorite spots too). If you live outside of the Treasure Valley and want to work together, send me a message anyways-I love having a good excuse for a road trip.
What happens if we run into bad weather?
If it's bad enough that we don't want to be out in it, we can always reschedule (I like to plan backup days when you first book, just in case). If it's not too bad and you're up for an adventure, let's embrace it!! Moody weather can be sooo fun during sessions. It has a way of encouraging us all to be a little more carefree ;)
What if we're awkward??
Sooo many of my clients have expressed this to me (a lot of them had never been photographed before!!) and their sessions always end up being so fun and natural-feeling. I'll gently guide you through the session, will show you photos straight from my camera that you'll be so excited about, and will ultimately be a calming presence to help you relax your way into just enjoying your time together. Pinky promise:)
How can I get to know you/your photo style better?
I started a podcast for exactly this reason. You'll hear my voice, get to understand how I think through + plan sessions, hear stories about past experiences, and get gentle tips + ideas for your own session experience there. Scroll to the end of the page to start listening!
Heartfelt support, in a different form.
I'm frequently writing + recording my thoughts + perspectives post-religion on Substack and on Instagram! I'd love to connect with you there ♥
